Peace Wants Partners
Sharing, simpler living, and cooperation. These principles inspired musicians, poets, artists, dancers, actors, teachers, and monitors in the creation of the Peace Wants Partners project; an outdoor happening with many different expressions, where body, heart, and soul are invited to have fun, learn, think, and play with other people.
The team is made up of volunteers that accepted the challenge of creating a cost-free weekend full of activities. The resources needed for carrying out the activities are provided by cooperation within the team members, avoiding excess and waste.
The place is a Park or public square, where several activities are available (Music, dance, painting, creative and cooperative games, installations, bodily arts, cooking, chats, walks), always involving the public in collective creations.
Peace belongs to many, is meant for many, and is accomplished by many, and this is why it Wants Partners.
All activities were designed to fulfill the following purposes:
— Simpler living: avoid excess and waste
— Communal ethics: foster the art of coexistence
— Responsible citizenship: participate in the management of public space and resources
— Valuing difference: encourage differences as a source of wealth
