Labor executes projets that help public schools to improve their educational method and management.
Our innovative ideas have reached more than 180 schools 1.280 educators and 220.000 students.
This is our way of using the great potencial of teachers and students in order to improve the results of education in Brazil.
Labor’s pedagogic theory was the result of studies by a group of educators with a view to solve problems faced at school by children of the SOS Children’s Village of Rio Bonito, São Paulo ( an international institution for orphans and children abandoned by their parents). These children, as most others coming from poor families, very often failed at school or even left it.
In 1991,”Associação Educacional Labor” was founded and in 1992, a Primary School was established to test the Labor pedagogic theory. The experience was a success, so the founding members decided to extend this fruitful experience to a greater public, by offering pedagogic and management assistance to public schools with emphasis in participative process, including teachers, students and community.
